Enriching Lives and Fulfilling Dreams

Engage the athlete in all of us

Experience ● Performance ● Excellence

Welcome Messages

Niagara College is an exciting place, one that you can explore, discover, and make your own.  Students, faculty, and staff are continuously creating new and inspired approaches to their work, study, and play on campus.

We are proud of our tremendous facilities that are home to a variety of College activities including varsity athletics, intramurals, fitness classes, and recreation activities.  The College is a place where the community gathers to meet, play, compete, and celebrate – I hope you will join us!

I encourage you to visit the Athletic Centre in Welland and our facilities at Niagara-on-the-Lake, and take part in a wellness activity that speaks to you.  We are proud of the culture here at Niagara College, and hope you’ll join us to see what it’s all about.

Dr. Dan Patterson

At Niagara College, everything we do centers around our student experience. Our department is very proud to provide our students with a continuously evolving program offering. Whether it is intramurals, extramurals, fitness classes, or intercollegiate sport, our mission is to engage the athlete in all of us. We have a rich history in the Niagara region, and our varsity teams have represented the Knights family with pride. We won five OCAA medals, including three golds, and a CCAA silver medal during the 2015-16 varsity season, exemplifying the commitment towards creating a high performance culture at Niagara College. For the first time in our program's history, we also had three players earn CCAA All-Canadian honours. Our expectation for excellence carries over to the classroom as well, and we are proud to recognize 35 OCAA All-Academics and five SIRC-CCAA Academic All-Canadians this past year.

The support we receive from students, staff, alumni, and the community are key to our continued growth. Our department is unique as we work closely with many of the academic divisions in the college, providing students with opportunities that build on their experiential learning. Our connection with the community is a relationship we also take great pride in. The opportunity to work with organizations such as the Niagara Sport Commission, Brock University, and United Way has allowed us to give back to the region and support some really special causes. Thank you again for your ongoing support of Niagara College. We look forward to a fantastic year and hope to see everyone at an upcoming game!
