Big Week for Knights' Basketball Programs

Big Week for Knights' Basketball Programs

November 30th to December 2nd is an important weekend for the Niagara College Men’s and Women’s Basketball Programs. The two teams will play four games that could have a major impact on the OCAA’s West Division standings.

The 3-4 women’s basketball team will look to rebound after a tough loss on Sunday to the first place Algoma Thunderbirds (7-1). The team will visit the 5-2 Fanshawe Falcons who are coming off a big win over the 0-8 Sault College Cougars.

The Knights currently sit in 6th place in the OCAA West Division, and need a strong outing against Fanshawe to get back to .500 on the season.

On the men’s side, the 5-3 Niagara College Men’s Basketball Program will also be in tough against the 6-1 Falcons. Fanshawe College currently sits in fourth place in the OCAA West Division, but have played two fewer games than most teams in the league.

Sunday December 2nd, will see the Men’s and Women’s Basketball Programs play their final home court games of the 2012 calendar year. The teams will host the St. Clair Saints at the Welland campus athletic centre starting at 1:00pm.
