Knights Volleyball Ready for Redeemer

Friday, November 30th will see the Niagara College Men’s and Women’s Volleyball Programs travel to Ancaster to take on the Redeemer Royals.

The 4-3 Women’s Volleyball Program is looking to make it two wins in a row against the 3-5 Royals.  The Knights are coming off a five-set marathon victory over the St. Clair College Saints, and currently sit in 5th place in the OCAA West Division, just 2 points ahead of the Royals.

The 5-2 Men’s Volleyball Program will also take on Redeemer. The Royals and Knights are the two hottest teams in the OCAA.

Redeemer (6-2) has won five consecutive matches, including victories over perennial powerhouse Humber, and current OCAA number one ranked Nipissing.

The Knights are riding a current four game winning streak, and were recently named OCAA Team of the Week for due to their victories over Fanshawe and St. Clair.

Niagara College Head Coach Nate Groenveld is “looking forward to a hard fought match tomorrow night, in a small, packed and noisy gym.”

Niagara College will serve as host for the 2013 Ironwood Wealth Management CCAA Men’s Volleyball National Championships from March 7-9th.
