2023 Niagara College Fantasy Football Intramural

How to Play

Picture yourself as a GM of your very own NFL team, you have $175 to spend on putting your team together to get the most points each week. Players earn points by completing certain tasks such as scoring, passing or running for long distances. Your team must be made up of 8 specific types of players, but you can add more to switch when your starting players are on a bye week or if they get injured.

To assist your drafting needs we have included a salary cap template generator so that you can choose your players and see how far below or above the cap room you have left to pick remaining plays. Salary Cap Template

Rosters

Each entry into the NC Fantasy Football League will consist of a roster made up of the following positions: 1 QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1 TE, 1 Flex, and 1 Kicker. The “Flex” position is a player who is either a RB/WR/TE. Teams can have up to 6 bench players if they choose to do so, this will be discussed in Bench Players.

Team Salary

Owners will be given a team salary of $175 be spent on players for their team. Please see League Description for player values. Players who are not listed can still be chosen, they have a salary value of $1. Owners do not have to spend the full $175 they have been given for their rosters, they can spend as much or as little of the amount as they see fit as long as they have the required roster mentioned above.

Bench Players/Roster Breakdown

When building your rosters, you have the option of taking extra players (up to 6) which will be your bench. This is not required, but this will allow you to switch players in and out of your lineup in case of injuries or matchups. You can decide to spend all of your salary on your starting players if you wish. This strategy will allow you to get higher value players, but comes with some risks (injuries, bye week, etc).

Deadline for Team Selection

The league will start totaling scores from week 2 Thursday night game (Sept 15). In order to gain the most point eligibility for this game please have your team selected and emailed to jewilson@niagaracollege.ca by 12:00 pm Thursday September 15. Any entry after this date will result in your teams point calculations total from games after your roster submission. Also once you have chosen your team you will not be able to add additional players, so choose wisely. There will be no waiver wire or add/drop during the season so the roster you select at the beginning of the semester will be your roster for the entire season. We will collect rosters until the end of the season from those students wishing to still participate.

Roster Changes During the Season

If you have decided to have players on your bench then you will be able to make changes to your roster before the scheduled games for the week. You are required to send an email to jewilson@niagaracollege.ca detailing which player you would like to sub in, and which player you will be subbing out. Roster moves must be made 1 hour prior to the start of the games on Sunday (12:00 PM). If the game is on Thursday, you must have emailed the changes 1 hour before the scheduled game time. It is your responsibility if you have not received a response the following week from the convenor to follow-up and confirm email receipt.

Scoring and Winning the League

Active rosters will be calculated weekly, and all weekly totals will be added together to create a season running total of points. After week 13 in the NFL season the student(s) with the highest total points will be declared the Fantasy Intramural Winner. Winner receives an NC Intramural prize pack and bragging rights!
