The Knights head into the event with sky high expectations, cruising to identical 9-2 records during pre-provincial championship bonspiel play.

The women's side returns veterans of Courtney Smith (vice) and Renee Boyce (second). The team bolstered their ranks with the additional of former provincial team skip Chelsea Brandwood, as well as Brooke Fairbanks (Lead) and Andrea Miettinen. Most recently the Knights captured the win at the annual Knights Classic bonspiel on January 26th.  The women's open the event versus the St. Clair Saints at 11:00 am on Thursday.

On the men's side veteran skip Samuel Steep and David Cressman (lead) return. The veterans are joined by newcomers Ethan Doig (second) and Tyler Marshall (vice). The men will face the host Sault College Cougars at 3:00pm.

"Expectations are very positive and hopeful with both teams heading into provincials" said two-time OCAA Curling coach of the year Jordan Thin. "The change in both rosters has seen some very strong additions which will make us a threat to win Ontario. Both teams are great to work with and have strong sense of what they want to achieve and how they will do it."

The men will play a total of six games while the women will compete in five. At the end of round robin play, the top teams will advance to the medal round to compete for OCAA hardware.
