Bryant Karner began coaching with the Knights curling program in 2021. Previously he had coached the Brock University Jr. Varsity program. 

He is a graduate of Brock University and Niagara College. 

Growing up, Karner was a multi-sport athlete, playing baseball, hockey, football, golf, curling and track & field. Karner has also coached hockey, ringette, and baseball, and sits on the Greater Niagara Baseball Association Executive in his hometown of Niagara Falls. 

Bryant started curling 30 years ago, having success at the junior level having made club, high school, college and university teams and competed at the provincial level multiple times. At Niagara College, Bryant skipped the mixed team in 02 and skipped the men’s team in 03. He was also the recipient of OCAA All-Academic Athlete in 2002 and 2003, and Fair Play award in 2002 and 2003. 

Karner was fortunate to have been surrounded by great coaches and teammates growing up and feels it is now his turn to pay it forward. Along with his fellow coaches and players Bryant is determined to continue to achieve success at Niagara College at the highest level. 

When he’s not coaching, Karner is an on-site buyer and wedding officiant.
