RECAP: Knights fall 78-66 to #6 ranked Royals

Wednesday night saw the Niagara Knights men's basketball program defeated 78-66 by the CCAA's No. 6 ranked Redeemer Royals.

"Tonight was an intense and physical game that saw neither team able pull away form one another" said Knights men's basketball head coach Mike Hurley. "We were tied 51-51 going into the fourth quarter, and despite playing better defensively, we didn't shoot the ball well from the floor or the free throwline."

The Knights managed only 29% field goal and 48% free throw shooting in the contest. Most glaringly, the Knights shot just 18 of 37 from the free throw line versus 25 of 31 by the Royals.

Four Knights finished in double digit scoring including Van Hutchinson Jr. (15), Jordon McDonald (14), Jordan Wilson (13), and Deysean Thompson (11). Six-foot-seven forward Jarad Richardson (Bahamas) finished with a game high 11 rebounds.

The loss drops the Knights to 4-2 on the season and into a tie for third in the crowded OCAA West. The team will have a full week off before travelling to Conestoga on November 22nd to take on the 2-4 Condors. Tip-off is set for 8:00pm.
