The Niagara Knights men's basketball program is proud to announce the addition of six-foot-four shooting guard Braidon Moore. Moore joins the Knights out of the prominent Welland Notre Dame high school system, and the Welland Warriors and Southern Ontario Selects club teams.
"I am really excited to have Braidon attending Niagara College as a student-athlete" said Niagara Knights men's basketball head coach Mike Hurley. "As one of the top high school basketball players graduating in the Niagara region this year, he is ready to come in and contribute right away with his skill set, high basketball IQ, and strong athletic ability."
Moore brings the Knights length, athleticism, and an ability to score from a variety of spots on the floor. His basketball resume includes MVP of the 2017 Niagara Region high school showcase, a first-team all-star selection in the annual Tribune Tournament, and being named MVP of Notre Dame Senior Boys high school team.
"Niagara is a good fit for me" said Moore during a meet and greet with members of the Knights community and a group of personal family and friends during Niagara's 2018 OCAA playoff run. "I really wanted to study and play at Niagara. The team's coaching staff is very good and I'm confident that I will fit in with the team."
The 18 year old Moore will enroll in Niagara College's recreational therapy program beginning in September. He lists his goals as "academic success, developing into a strong teammate, and becoming a valuable asset to the Niagara basketball program"
Moore will formally join the Knights when training camp opens in the Fall of 2018. The team finished fifth at the 2018 OCAA men's basketball championship, and has a talented returning group of players confirmed for the 2018-19 season.
