PREVIEW: Knights look to hand 1st place Bruins their first loss of the season

PREVIEW: Knights look to hand 1st place Bruins their first loss of the season

The Niagara Knights men's Basketball program will look for their second consecutive road victory when they travel to Brampton, Ont. to face off against the undefeated Sheridan Bruins (7-0, 1st OCAA West).  The Bruins swept last year's season series between the two west division programs, winning 84-80 at home and 105-96 on the road.

The Bruins have been dominant this season, averaging a whopping 104 points per game. Their potent offence is led by their 3rd year guard Nick Campbell (Brampton, Ont.) who is currently averaging 18.9 points in just over 20 minutes a game. If the Knights hope to be victorious Tuesday night, they must play mistake-free basketball and execute soundly on their defensive systems.

In addition to their defensive play the Knights must continue to find scoring from all over their roster as six nights players currently average over 10 points a game. Knights' forward Jordan McDonald will be looked upon to contribute in a big way offensively against the Bruins after the six-foot-three forward finished with 17 points and 11 rebounds to help pace the Knights to a 90-58 victory over Conestoga. The third-year native of Mississauga is enjoying a fantastic start to the 2017-18 season averaging a double-double to the tune of 13.1 points and 10 rebounds per-game.

Tip off for Tuesday night's west division matchup is scheduled for 8pm.
