RECAP: Balanced attack propels Knights to victory over Eagles

The Niagara Knights men's basketball program (4-1, 2nd OCAA West) defeated the visiting University of Toronto Mississauga Eagles (2-3, 7th OCAA West) on Thursday night. The Knights cruised on their way to victory, as they held the lead for the entire game, one that extended to 23 points in the third quarter as the Knights led 46-23.

The Knights were confident from behind the arc all night long as they shot 46.7% (14-30) from long-range. They wrapped the game up with an 89-64, their largest margin of victory on the season.

The Knights had a balanced attack in this one, as all 11 dressed players scored at least four points, but leading the way was Dave Morrison (Scarborough) who had 14 points, shooting 50.0% (4-8) from three.

Van Hutchinson Jr (Nassau, Bahamas) added 13 points and 12 rebounds, maintaining his OCAA-leading 11.8 rebounds per game.

Rahim Bardi (St. Catharines), one of Niagara's top recruits out of Governor Simcoe Secondary School for this season, had his best game as a Niagara Knight so far. Bardi tallied 11 points, nine of which came from behind the arc, and 5 rebounds.

The Knights will travel to Sarnia to take on the Lambton Lions (1-2, 8th OCAA West) in their next matchup on November 16th at 8pm. The game against the Lions will take place before they head to Windsor to take on the St. Clair Saints (2-2, 5th OCAA West) the following night on their weekend road trip.
