NEWS: Former Knight Daniel Groenveld named to Volleyball Canada Men's National B Team

Former Niagara College men's volleyball standout Daniel Groenveld has been named to the Volleyball Canada Men's National B Team Roster. Groenveld competed for the Niagara College Knights men's volleyball program during the 2013-14 season, a year that saw him named a CCAA All-Canadian and an OCAA First-Team All-Star.

The 13 members of the Volleyball Canada Men's National B Team roster were announced on Thursday, May 7th after an intense selection camp at the Centre Sportif de Gatineau, in Gatineau Quebec.

During the 2013-14 season, the six-foot-three outside hitter and native of Welland set the Niagara College men's volleyball single season scoring record finishing with 275 total points.

Groenveld has spent the last year training at the Volleyball Canada Full Time Training Centre, an initiative designed to aid in the identification, selection, and development of CIS/CCAA athletes who possess the ability or potential to compete at international levels of training and competition.

Groenveld and the rest of the Volleyball Canada Men's National B Team will train for the duration of the summer in Gatineau before competing in the 2015 Pan-Am Cup from August 9-17.
