PREVIEW: Knights to host Falcons in final regular season home game

The Niagara Knights men's volleyball program will look to close out their regular season home schedule when they host the OCAA leading Fanshawe Falcons (15-0,1st OCAA West) Wednesday February 7th at the Welland Campus Athletic Centre. The Knights enter Wednesday seeking revenge against the Falcons after being defeating 3-1 by the program earlier this year. The Knights currently sit at 9-7 on the regular season, good enough for 4th spot in the OCAA West Division standings.

Wednesday night will also serve as the Knights' annual men's volleyball Grad Game, an event that will see graduating veterans Aiden Atkinson (Ingersoll, Ont.), Tristan Swinden (Whitby, Ont.), Jacob Williamson (St. Catharines, Ont.) and Kyle Thiessen (St. Catharines, Ont.) honoured prior to the opening serve of their game.

After his latest 18 kill performance in Niagara's victory over Cambrian, the Knights look for another strong offensive performance from their 2nd year middle Jacob Williamson (St. Catharines, Ont.). Williamson has been quite an effective hitter this year for the Knights as his .312 hitting percentage ranks 10th best in the OCAA.

If the Knights hope to find success against a powerhouse Fanshawe program, they must find a way to shut down their former outside hitter Cole Jordan. The third year product of London Ontarion is having an unbelievable season for the Falcons, leading the OCAA in kills per set (4.12), hitting percentage (.422), and points per set (4.8). Stopping Jordan will be Niagara's toughest challenge to date.

Tip-off between two of the top OCAA West Division programs is set for 8pm.
