PREVIEW: Knights look for home victory versus Bruins

PREVIEW: Knights look for home victory versus Bruins

The Niagara Knights volleyball program (4-2, 4th OCAA West) look to rebound from their loss against Humber when they host the Sheridan Bruins (2-3, 8th OCAA West) Saturday, November 28th at the Welland Campus Athletic Centre. Last year's season series between the two west divisional programs was swept by the Knights 2-0, with a 3-0 victory on the road and a 3-1 at home.

The Bruins are coming off of a disappointing 3-2 loss to the Humber Hawks and will be hungry to rebound with an impressive performance on the road against the Knights. If the Knights hope to get their 5th victory of the season, they must shutdown Sheridan's trio of outside hitters Travis James (Barbados), Matt Stokes (Dover Centre, Ont.) and Andre Zopf (Melbourne, Australia), who are each currently averaging 3 points per set.

Knights' rookie libero Robbie Zalewski (Ingersoll, Ont.) has been Impressive defensively in his first season with the Knights, currently leading the program with 48 digs. With a program as well-rounded offensively as Sheridan, the 1st year Libero will need to be on top of his game if the Knights hope to be successful Saturday afternoon.

First serve for Saturday afternoon's west division matchup is set for 3:00pm.
