PREVIEW: Knights look to stay hot against St. Clair

The Niagara Knights men's volleyball program (3-1, 3rd OCAA West) will be in search for their second consecutive victory when host the St. Clair Saints (3-1, 2nd OCAA West) in a battle between two of the top teams in the OCAA west division. Last year's season series was split between the Knights and the Saints, with both victories going to the visiting programs.

Coming off of an impressive 46 assist performance during the come behind victory over the Conestoga Condors, Knights' 4th year setter Ben Fillmore (Port Dover, Ont.) will be relied upon once again to keep his team composed. Fillmore returned from an early season injury in the game against the condors, and served as the offensive catalyst in helping rally the Knights from a two-set deficit in the contest.

If the Knights hope to be successful Saturday afternoon, they will have to find a way to control the Saints duo of Jared Niziolek (Windsor, Ont.) and Mike Knight (LaSalle, Ont.). The two outside hitters have been major contributors to the Saints' early success this season, averaging 3.8 points per set and 3.4 points per set.

This OCAA west divisional matchup at the Welland Campus Athletic Centre is scheduled for 230pm.
