CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

Let’s GO!
As in “Get Outside” of the fitness centre. We’ve got an entire campus to explore! Come join us on this once-a-week fitness journey, where we turn a unique area of campus into our active adventure playground! If you enjoy thinking outside the box and discovering new ways to move your body (in new places), this is the class for you!

FUNctional Fitness
This energetic class is the perfect blend of “Work Hard + Play Hard.” Using a variety of equipment, this class focuses on functional, dynamic movements that build a strong core and strengthen large muscle groups, while improving your agility, speed, strength, and power!

Indoor Cycling
It’s the most fun you’ll have on 2 wheels, without leaving the gym! This 45-minute class will take you on a physical, emotional and musical journey, designed to improve your cardiovascular endurance, and mental fortitude, through varied interval training on a stationary bike. All experience and ability levels are encouraged to participate. Be sure to bring water and a towel, it’s going to be sweaty!

Mid-day MoodLIFT
Sometimes, we all need a little “pick-me-up". In this class, we use dumbbells, TRX Suspension Training, and Body-Weight exercises, to help our minds and bodies become stronger and more resilient! Warning-side effects may include; heightened confidence and excessive smiling.

Mobility Class
This is a 30-minute class that focuses on active range of motion throughout different joints within the body. Each month we focus on a different area of the body, with the goal of moving better and restoring full ranges of motion.

Too Legit To Quit HIIT - HIGH INTENSITY INTERVAL TRAINING
Too Legit to Quit – High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) focuses on up-tempo exercises executed at a high intensity to maximize time, efficiency, and to elevate your heart rate.  Expect quick short-bursts of high tempo exercises catered to all major muscles in this class.

Strength + Stretch
This uplifting class targets all major muscles groups by utilizing TRX Suspension Training Equipment, Gliding Discs, Resistance Bands, Bosu Balls and more, to create a dynamic exercise experience. This type of training is ideal for enhancing the full-body strength, endurance, balance and flexibility of participants of varying ages, abilities and experience levels.

Yoga
A class designed for all levels from beginner to advanced yogi. Barb's approach to yoga is very intuitive, being more interested in how you feel in each of the poses and the flow rather than the look of the perfect pose.  If you have your own yoga mat, strap and 2 blocks please bring with you to class. If you don’t, that’s alright. We’ve got you covered! A typical class will start with breath work, warm up, core work and a flow.
