The Niagara College women's basketball (4-2, 4th West) program travelled to Sault Ste. Marie to play two games against the Sault College Cougars (0-5, 10th West).

The first game was played on Saturday, November 15th.  Niagara came out slow and trailed by four points after the first quarter but eventually proved their offense was too much for the Cougars, as they won game one 81-54.  Courtney McPherson (Welland) and Alyssa McCabe (Niagara Falls) both recorded double doubles in the win.  Courtney had 16 points 13 rebounds, while Alyssa contributed with 11 points 11 rebounds.

Game two was played on Sunday, November 16th and the Knights started the game strong and never looked back.  Niagara put on a defensive clinic as they limited the Cougars to only 30 points on 14 percent shooting from the floor.  The Knights won handily 71-30.

"I hope that we are finding our identity on defence," commented head coach Mike Becarria after their dominant performance.  "Some of the principles we have been working on seem to finally be kicking in."

Second year guard Hayley Tamo played well for Niagara all weekend.  Hayley led the Knights with 27 points and 17 rebounds during the two game road trip.  On Sunday however, the Mississauga native played what coach Becarria called "easily her best game in a Knights uniform" finishing with 14 points and 10 rebounds.

The Humber Hawks (6-1, 2nd West) are up next for the Knights at home on November 20th
