PREVIEW: Women's Basketball hits the road to face Sheridan

The OCAA's No. 6 ranked Niagara College women's basketball program will return to action on Friday, November 13th when the team travels to Brampton to take on the Sheridan Bruins (2-3). The Knights enter the contest with a record of 3-1 and are coming off an impressive 79-62 win over Redeemer on November 4th.

The Knights enter the contest with the second highest scoring offense in the conference at 79.8 points-per-game. The team is also holding teams to a third best 48.3 points against. Second year forward Courtney McPherson has been shouldering the load for Niagara in the early stages. The Welland native and reigning OCAA West rookie of the year is averaging 14.5 points, and a division best 10.5 rebounds-per-game.

Veteran Knights Miranda Ross (St. Catharines) and Alyssa McCabe (Niagara Falls) also rank among the OCAA leaders at their respective positions. Ross is averaging a league leading 2.5 blocks, while McCabe sits third in the province in assists-per-game with 5.1.

A win will see the Knights keep pace with the top teams in the West in the Humber Hawks (5-0) and St. Clair Saints (5-1), with tough matchups against the Fanshawe Falcons (2-1) and league leading Humber on the Horizon.

Tip-off for Friday's game is set for 6:00pm at Sheridan's Davis Campus in Brampton.
