PREVIEW: Knights drive for 5 in division matchup against Bruins

The Niagara Knights women’s basketball program (5-2, 5th OCAA West) will look for their 5th straight victory Tuesday, November 28th when they travel to Brampton, Ontario to square off against the Sheridan Bruins (3-4, 7th OCAA West). The Knights swept last year’s season series with the Bruins 2-0, with commanding victories at home (80-58) and on the road (77-47).

The Knights will once again look to get big performances from their talented duo of Courtney Kilyk (Fonthill, Ont.) and Mary Ingribelli (St. Catharines, Ont.). The two veteran guards have been outstanding for the Knights this season, leading the Knights offensively averaging 12.6 points (Kilyk) and 16.9 points (Ingribelli) per game.

If the Knights hope to be successful Tuesday nights, they must find a way to shutdown Sheridan’s 1st year guard Brianna Stewart (Brampton, Ont.), who is currently averaging 16 points per game. The program must make sure Stewart is contested whenever the ball is near her.

Tip off for Tuesday night’s west division matchup is scheduled for 6pm.
