The Knights would continue to outscore the visiting Lancers in the second quarter, ending the half up 30-17.

The third quarter saw the Knights' defense struggle, giving up a game-high 22 points to keep the Lancers' playoff hopes alive. Niagara would find their offence  rythem in the fourth and final frame, outscoring Loyalist 20-12 to seal the 61-52 victory.

4th year guard Mary Ingribelli (St. Catharines, Ont.) led her Knights' program with a game-high 22 points, 13 rebounds and 4 steals. Other notable performances came from rookie guard's Hannah Baker and Brooke Cesar (Brantford, Ont.), who contributed 10 points respectively.

"It was a day where we didn't score like we had been, but as always defence and rebounding won the day," said Knights' head coach Mike Beccaria. "We rebounded very well in the second half and met our defensive goals in three of the four quarters."

The Knights are back in action Friday, March 2nd when they open their OCAA Championship journey against the East Division leading George Brown Huskies. Tip off is set for 6pm.
