PREVIEW: Knights look to ground Falcons in last game of 2017

PREVIEW: Knights look to ground Falcons in last game of 2017

The Niagara Knights women's basketball program looks to rebound from their loss against Humber as they host the Fanshawe Falcons Wednesday, December 13th in each of the programs' final game of 2017. The December night affair between two of the top programs in the OCAA west does not look to disappoint, as both teams are determined to enter their mid-season breaks in the win column.

The Falcons will be competing against a very different Knights program Wednesday night, as the team is beginning to round into mid-season form. The last meeting between the two programs resulted in a 64-46 victory for Fanshawe, but since that matchup, the red-hot Knights have gone 5-1. The Knights' improved play over the course of the season, and their determination to rebound from Humber, should make Wednesday's affair a night to remember.

If the Knights hope to be successful heading into the game Wednesday night, they must keep the Falcons off the free throw line as the program currently sits 1st in the OCAA at 69.7%. With Niagara sitting in second at 69.4%, getting in foul trouble for either program could be the deciding factor in who takes home  the victory.

Tip off between the two west division programs is set for 6pm at the Welland Campus Athletic Centre.
