PREVIEW: Knight close out regular season at home with weekend series against Cougars

The Niagara Knights women's basketball program closes out their 2017-18 regular season when they host the Sault Cougars (0-18, 11th OCAA West) in back-to-back homes games Friday, February 16th and Saturday, February 17th. Niagara currently sits at 4th spot in the OCAA West Division with a record of 12-6. The Knights hope to cap off a successful regular season with two wins this weekend, riding into their crossover matchup on a 4 game winning streak.

If the Knights hope to be successful this upcoming weekend, they must continue to lean on the impressive play of 4th year guard Mary Ingribelli (St. Catharines, Ont.). The Governor Simcoe standout has continued to impress down the stretch for the Knights, averaging 29.5 points in the prgram's two  previous victories. Ingribelli will be a major factor if the Knights hope to battle for a medal in the upcoming OCAA Championships hosted by Humber College.

The weekend series at Welland Campus Athletic Centre begins Friday, February 16th at 6pm, and then picks up again Saturday, February 17th at 1pm.
