PREVIEW: Knights look for 4th straight victory in matchup versus Condors

The Niagara Knights Women’s Basketball program (4-2, 5th OCAA) looks for their 4th consecutive victory when they travel to Kitchener Wednesday, November 22nd to face off against the Conestoga Condors (3-5, 6th OCAA West).

In Conestoga’s first OCAA season since 1992-93, the program hopes to establish themselves as a tough opponent within the ultra-competitive OCAA west division. After a tough loss to St. Clair, the Condors are determined to put in a strong performance at home versus the Knights.

If the Knights hope to be successful Wednesday night, they must find a way to shut down Condor’s second year guard Megan White (Waterloo, Ont.), who is currently averaging 18.6 points per game, good enough for 4th in the OCAA. If the Knights shutdown white, there is a high probability they will leave kitchener with a victory.

After scoring a career best 27 points in their latest victory over Redeemer, The Knights will once again lean on their star guard/forward Mary Ingribelli (St. Catharines) to lead them to victory. The Governor Simcoe graduate has been outstanding for the Knights this season averaging 17.5 points per game, good enough for 8th in the OCAA.

Tip off for Wednesday’s west divisional matchup is scheduled for 6pm.
