Women's Soccer to Host Sheridan and Lambton

Women's Soccer to Host Sheridan and Lambton

The Niagara College women's soccer program will play their final two matches of the 2013 season this weekend. The team will host the Sheridan Bruins on Friday, October 4th and the Lambton Lions on Sunday, October 6th. Both matches will be played at Youngs Sportsplex, and kick offs are set for 3:00pm

The young Knights have had a strong rebuilding campaign in 2013. Entering the season the team had not won since 2010. With a record of 1-4-1 the Knights have made tremendous strides on the pitch all season.

Friday night will see the team host the Sheridan Bruins (4-2-1). The Bruins currently sit in third place in the OCAA West Division, are riding a three game unbeaten streak, and are coming off a 2-0 shutout victory over the Fanshawe Falcons.

Sunday will see the Knights host the sixth place Lambton Lions (3-3-1). The Lions are riding a two game winning streak including an impressive 3-2 victory over the Humber Hawks on September 28th.

The Niagara College Broadcasting, Radio, Television, and Film department will provide coverage of both matches this weekend, and the games will be uploaded to www.ocaatv.com where they can be viewed in their entirety.
