Women's Soccer Looking for First Win Versus Conestoga

The Niagara College women's soccer program (0-2, 9th West) will host the Conestoga College Condors (1-0-1, 2nd West) Saturday afternoon.

After falling to the Humber Hawks (2-0, 1st West) on Wednesday, the Knights are looking to get into the win column for the first time in 2014.

Coming off a 2013 campaign that saw the team finish strong with a 4-1-3 record, the Condors are off to another strong start after opening with a 1-1 draw versus the St. Clair Saints (0-0-1) and 3-1 win over the Lambton Lions (0-1).

With Conestoga playing their first match this season away from home, the Knights are looking to take advantage of home field.  A player to keep an eye on will be Sierra Volpe, the reigning Niagara College female athlete of the week.  If she can keep up the defensive intensity that she brings to the club, the Knights could secure their first win.

Kickoff is set for 2:00pm at Youngs' SportsPlex in Welland.
