PREVIEW: Knights look to stay hot against undefeated Falcons

The Niagara Knight's women's soccer program is set to host the OCAA west division leading Fanshawe Falcon's (7-0) Wednesday, October 3rd at Youngs Sportsplex in Welland.

These two programs last saw each other in the season opener which ended in a heartbreaking 2-1 loss for the Knights. After a slow start to the Knights' season, they started to get back on track, going unbeaten in their last 4 regular season matchups. The Knights hope their effective play down the stretch can translate into success against a Falcons team that has gone undefeated all season.

The Knights will also rely on rookie goalkeeper Alexis Hebert (Waterdown, Ont) to continue her outstanding play if they want to defeat Fanshawe Wednesday afternoon. Hebert is coming off an impressive 23 save performance against Mohawk (5-1-2, 2nd OCAA West) that increased her shutout streak to three games. She, as well as the rest of the program, will need to be outstanding in what looks to be the toughest matchup for the Knights this year.

Kick-off for Wednesday's game between the two OCAA West Division teams is set for 4:00pm.
