Kara joins the women's soccer program for her fist year as an assistant coach for 2021-22. Born and raised in the Niagara region, Kara grew up playing soccer for the St. Catharines Jets. Coached by Andrew Vitaterna, Kara played at the highest levels in the province. She was named captain of her team for 6 years, leading the team to several Ontario Cup and League Cup finishes. 

 Kara went on to play Division One soccer at Bowling Green State University, in Bowling Green, Ohio. She served as part of their leadership core during her Junior and Senior years. Kara received her Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science from Bowling Green State University while assisting with the strength and conditioning programs of Division One Varsity Men's Soccer, Womens Golf, Swimming and Football. Kara was active in the Bowling green soccer community through the EYAS youth soccer and mentorship program. 

 Kara returned to the Niagara Region to complete her Masters of Professional Kinesiology at Brock University where she played her fifth and final year of eligibility. Since finishing her soccer career, Kara has continued to give back to the game, coaching youth soccer for the St. Catharines Jets. Kara stays present in both the strength and conditioning, and health and wellness communities by personal training and teaching group exercise classes. 

Kara brings a wealth of experience both as a player and exercise science, and is a valuable addition to the Knights coaching staff.
