PREVIEW: Knights Women's Volleyball set to host Sting On Feb. 19

The Niagara College women's volleyball program is set to open the OCAA post-season. The powerhouse Knights women's program (15-3) will host the Seneca Sting (10-8) at 1:30pm on Sunday, February 19th.

The Knights enter the post-season riding high. The team has won four straight matches, and is returning to the playoffs for the fourth consecutive season. Niagara has won OCAA medals in back-to-back years, including a bronze in 2014-15 and a silver in 2015-16. The team is looking to return to the podium in 2016-17.

The Knights boast a dynamic offensive attack that features West Division scoring champion Jordan Koslowski (Hamilton), 2015-16 OCAA first team all-star Rachel Rivers (Cambridge), and fifth year middle Linnea Davis (Brampton).  Defensively the Knights will continue to lean on the OCAA Dig Champion Kennisis Vansoelen (Orangeville).

The winner of Sunday's matchup will advance to the OCAA Championship being hosted by the St. Clair Saints from February 23-25.

First-serve is set for 1:30pm at the Welland Athletic Centre. Admission is free for all current Niagara College students, and those under the age of 18. For all other members of the Niagara College community tickets cost $5.00. For those unable to be in attendance, the game will be live broadcasted at www.goknights.ca/watchlive.
