PREVIEW: Knights look for 4th consecutive victory in annual Volleyball Grad Game

The Niagara Knights women's volleyball program looks to close out their regular season home schedule Wednesday, February 7th when they host the visiting Fanshawe Falcons (12-3, 2nd OCAA West). The Knights enter Wednesday's contest looking for the season sweep of the Falcons after defeating the program earlier this year 3-1. Currently riding a three game winning streak, the Knights currently 10-6, slotting them into 4th spot in the OCAA West Division standings.

Wednesday night will also serve as the Knights annual women's volleyball Grad Game, an event that will see graduating veterans Jordan Koslowski (Hamilton, Ont.), Shayna Graham (Welland, Ont.), Amy Bultje (Chatham, Ont.), Rachel Rivers (Cambridge, Ont.) and Nicole Chiesa (Thorold, Ont.) honoured prior to the opening serve.

If the Knights hope to be successful in their final regular season home game, the program will rely heavily on strong performances from their veteran leader's Rachel Rivers and Jordan Koslowski. The duo of outside hitters have been core pieces of the Knights' offense all season, contributing an impressive 3.7 points-per-set respectively.

The Knights must find a way to cool down a very dangerous Fanshawe attack starting with their 3rd year outside hitter Meghan Morelli. The native of London, Ontario ranks second in the OCAA with 3.38 kills-per-set and fourth in total points-per-set averaging 3.8. Niagara must compete at a high level defensively if they hope to leave the Welland Campus Athletic centre with a much-needed 2 points.

Tip-off between the two OCAA West Division rivals is set for 6pm.
