PREVIEW: Knights close out 2017 with matchup versus Royals

Thursday, November 30th will see the Niagara Knights women's volleyball program (5-2, 4th OCAA West) go for their second consecutive win when they host the Redeemer Royals (2-6, 8th OCAA West) in a matchup that will close out the first half of the 2017-18 regular season. The Royals are heading into the match Thursday night determined to finish strong, therefore the Knights should be ready for a battle.

Dating all the way back to the start of the 2016-17 regular season, the Knights have won the last three encounters with the Royals; their latest victory coming in the 2017-18 exhibition game that saw Niagara win 3-0. The Knights are determined to keep their success against Redeemer going Thursday night by going out their and earning their 6th victory of the season.

After being named Niagara College's female athlete of the week, Knights 4th year captain Rachel Rivers will be relied upon once again for a strong performance against the Royals. During the Knights November 25th four-set victory over No. 7 ranked Sheridan, the six-foot outside hitter from Cambridge was an all-around force, finishing with 22 points and 15 digs.

Tip off between the Knights and the Royals is scheduled for 6pm at the Welland Campus Athletic Centre.
