RECAP: Knights suffer loss to Hawks; Look to rebound versus Bruins

The Niagara Knights' women's volleyball program (4-2, 3rdOCAA West) suffered their second loss of the season Wednesday night after losing to the OCAA's No. 1 ranked Humber Hawks (7-0, 1st OCAA West) 3-0.

The Knights Battled hard the entire night, going toe-to-toe with the long time defending OCAA champions till the end. During the third set the Knights took the Hawks to 23 a piece, but came just short of a set victory losing 25-23.

When asked about his team's performance, Knights' head coach Nathan Janzen was happy his program's energy throughout the match, and was excited to get back to work. " I'm pleased that we competed hard throughout the game and the energy on the bench was the best it's been all year. We look forward to bouncing back against Sheridan at home on Saturday."

Pacing the Knights offensively was 4th year Captain Rachel Rivers (Cambridge, Ont.), who contributed 6 kills, 2 service aces and 6 digs.

The Knights look to rebound from their loss against Humber when they host the Sheridan Bruins (2-3, 7th) Saturday, November 25th at the Welland Campus Athletic Centre. Tip-off is scheduled for 1pm.
