Jordan Koslowski (Hamilton) is the new record-holder for two separate Niagara College women's volleyball career records.
The former All-Canadian first surpassed Tracy Smith's record of 679 career points when the Knights faced the Mohawk Mountaineers on November 3rd. Entering that matchup one-point shy of the record, Koslowski surpassed Smith in the first set of the match.
Koslowski shattered the 13-year-old record that was set by Smith, a member of the Niagara Knights Hall of Fame, back in 2005 during her four-year career. She now sits at 712 with 13 more games remaining this season to cement herself in the number one spot.
After breaking the all-time points record, Koslowski then went on to break her second career record in the win over Boreal on Sunday. Entering the match with 546 kills, she was just 10 kills shy of former Knight Ginni Llord's record of 556 career kills. Koslowski would dominate the match, earning 15 kills and creating another milestone in her historic Niagara Knights career. The all-time kills record had previously stood for 15 years before Sunday afternoon, as Llord's, another Niagara Knights Hall of Famer, career ended in 2003.
On top of her two new records, Koslowski also holds the Niagara Knights records for single-season kills (203) and single-season points (267), both of which were set in the 2016-17 season when she was named the OCAA West Division Scoring Champion, an OCAA West Division First-Team All-Star and an OCAA Women's Volleyball Championship All-Star. To top off those awards, Koslowski was then named a CCAA Women's Volleyball All-Canadian, one of only two players named All-Canadians from the OCAA.
Koslowski's next milestone to watch out for will be the Niagara Knights career-record for matches played. Her next matchup, which comes this Friday when the Knights host the Redeemer Royals, will be her 59th career match in a Knights uniform. The career-record, held by Cassandra Musungayi who played for Niagara between 2007 and 2010, is 68 matches.
