Nathan Janzen was announced as the 11th head coach of the Niagara Knights women's volleyball program on March 9, 2016.

Janzen joins the Knights after spending six years as an assistant coach with the McMaster Marauders men's and women's volleyball teams. In that time Janzen won five OUA championships, one CIS silver medal, and one CIS bronze medal with the men and added one OUA championship with the women.

Alongside his intercollegiate experience Janzen has also spent time as a coach for both Team Ontario and Team Canada. He was the assistant coach with the men’s junior national team at the 2013 FIVB World Junior Championships in Turkey. He has also been a part of the Team Ontario program for the last three consecutive seasons. Janzen was the assistant coach of the Ontario 18U boys team in 2014 and head coach of the Ontario 16U boys team in 2015. He is currently an assistant coach with the Ontario team that will compete at the 2017 Canada Games in Winnipeg.
