RECAP: Knights prep for OCAA Championship at Seneca Invitational

The Niagara Knights got their first taste of the OCAA Championship course at the Seneca Invitational this past weekend in Toronto. The Knights men finished 11th, while the women finished 16th on the course that will play host to the provincial championship in two weeks time.

The men were led by the performance of Jeremy Mol (St. Catharines) who finished the course in 30:33 to finished in 31st place. Russell Gibson (Oakville) finished 53rd, Gavin Martin (Newmarket) was 55th, and Joshua Turner (Grimsby) was 61st to round out the runners for the Knights team result.

On the women's side the Knights were led by Kayla Amorim (Kitchener) who ran the course in 24:30, good enough for a 22nd place finish, the highest of any Knight on the day. Annie Jones (Ottawa) was 63rd, Jennifer Siman (Toronto) was 81st, and Brittany Moore was (Wawa) to round out the runners for the Knights.

Niagara's next event will be the 2016 OCAA Championship, hosted by the Seneca Sting. The races will take place at Seneca's King Campus on Saturday, October 29th.
