Pasco and Littlefield named Niagara College Athletes of the Week

Female Athlete of the Week - Alex Pasco, Women's Soccer

Alex Pasco (Niagara Falls) of the Niagara Knights women's soccer program (2-2-2, 4th OCAA Central) has been named this week's Niagara College female athlete of the week. Pasco moved herself into second overall on the Knights all-time career goal scoring list.

Pasco recorded a hat trick on September 29th against the George Brown Huskies (1-6, 5th OCAA Central), leading the Knights to a 5-0 victory on the road. The goals were the 5th, 6th, and 7th of Pasco's Knights career, which moves her within three of the all-time goal scoring record of 10 set by Jackie Lawther last season. With four games left in the regular season, Pasco is within striking distance of the record based on her totals so far this season.

The Knights have an important week against the Senca Sting (2-0-2, 2nd OCAA Central). They hit the road to visit the Sting on October 4th in a game that was re-scheduled from a rainout September 17th. They return home to face the same Sting team on Friday, October 7th in the final home game of the regular season.

Male Athlete of the Week - Evan Littlefield, Men's Golf

Evan Littlefield (Thunder Bay) of the Niagara Knights golf team has been named this week's Niagara College male athlete of the week. Littlefield won the gold medal at the Niagara Knights Fall Classic, hosted at Hunters Pointe Golf Course, on September 26th.

In the rain shortened event, Littlefield was 3-under through 12 holes to finish two-strokes ahead of teammate Josiah Dixon (Bognor) and two others. Littlefield's low round also led the Knights men's team to victory, winning their home event by 10 strokes over the Georgian Grizzlies.

Both Littlefield and the Knights now have their sights set on their second consecutive OCAA Gold Medals, as they kick off the OCAA Championship in Innisfil. Hosted by Georgian College at National Pines Golf Course, this year's edition of the championship runs from October 3rd to 5th.
