NEWS: Koslowski and Williamson named Athletes of the Week

Female- Jordan Koslowski 

Jordan Koslowski of the Niagara College women’s volleyball program has been named female athlete of the week.  

The Knights’ 3rd year outside hitter from Hamilton, Ontario earns the award after leading her program in kills during each of Niagara's victories this weekendKoslowski was impressive, finishing with 12 kills against Boreal and 17 kills against Cambrian. 

The Sherwood Secondary H.S. standout currently ranks fourth in the OCAA with a total of 143 killsKoslowski also ranks 8th in the OCAA averaging an impressive 3.5 points per set. The 3rd year's offensive contributions have been integral to the Knights' success this season.  

Koslowski and the rest of the Knights will be back in action Wednesday, February 7th when they hosting the visiting Fanshawe Falcons (12-3, 2nd OCAA West) in the program's final regular season home game. 

Male- Jake Williamson 

Jake Williamson of the Niagara College men’s volleyball program has been named male athlete of the week. 

The second year middle blocker from St. Catharines, Ontario earned athlete of the week honours after posting an impressive 18 kill performance in his program's latest straight-set victory over the Cambrian Golden Shield.  

The Eden H.S. graduate has been a solid contributor in his second season with the Knights, averaging 2.5 points per set. Williamson is also ranked second on the Knights in total kills, contributing 116 so far this season. 

The Knights hope Williamson will continue his impressive play as of late when they host the OCAA West division leading Fanshawe Falcons (15-0, 1st, OCAA West) Wednesday, February 7th at the Welland Campus Athletic Centre.
