Monica Rose of Welland, Ontario gave the Knights much needed quickness, stability and leadership at the guard position on the Women's Basketball team.
In her three years with the Knights Monica displayed excellence in her play, sportsmanship and leadership on the court. She was a great competitor and had great concentration and determination on both the basketball and tennis courts.
In 1976-1977, Monica received the Athlete of Distinction Award and was named Female Athlete of the Year. Her most memorable moment was scoring 14 points against Sheridan College at Sheridan with two of her brothers in attendance.
Monica graduated from the Secretarial-Steno-Typist program in June of 1976 and in June of 1978 from the Social Services program. She was the recipient of the Faculty Award for Academic Excellence.
