Gary McDonnell

Gary McDonnell of St. Catharines, Ontario was a stalwart defenseman on the Niagara College Knights Men's Hockey Team from 1983-1986. During this time, Gary was named Freshman Athlete of the year in 1983-1984. As well, he was an athlete of Distinction in the 1984-1985 season.

In both of these years, he was named to the second All Star team in the International Collegiate Hockey League. Gary served as the captain of the Niagara Knights from 1984-1986 and earned the respect of his peers and teammates because of his great leadership both on and off the ice.

Gary considers his three years as a Niagara Knight to be the most enjoyable and memorable years that he spent in organized sports. Gary graduated from the Computer Engineering Technology program in 1986.
