This athlete was a key player on the Knights Women’s Basketball team for three seasons. Her consistent play, commitment, and hard work were a major contribution to the success of the program. Although not a verbal leader, her actions on-and-off the court spoke volumes. Tasha was a player who always gave 100% in practice and never needed external motivation. As a point guard, she developed from a strong defender and passer in her first-year to an all-around player in her third-year.
She made the players around her better; they worked harder and benefited from her unselfishness. In 2002-2003, she guided the Knights to a Silver Medal finish at the OCAA Championships. In her final year, Tasha averaged 14.3 points per game - first on the team, third in the OCAA West Region, and seventh in the OCAA.
Her focus was not just as a scorer. She also led the Knights in steals, rebounding, and was second in assists.
Her personal accomplishments include:
In 2004, Tasha was named the Niagara College Knights Co-Female Athlete of the Year.
In the spring of 2004, Tasha graduated from the General Arts and Science program at Niagara College.
