Although she was a very quiet person, her actions spoke volumes to her leadership on the volleyball court. Her play on the court over a four-year career garnered much attention from her peers and coaches around the league.
In 2004, she came into her own as one of the top three scorers and most skilled players in the OCAA. Not only did she become the best back court player this program has ever had, but also became one of the top offensive players in the OCAA. She was considered to be the best middle in the Western Region. With her offence leading the way, the Knights in 2004, set new OCAA team scoring records - Most kills in a single-season with 578, and most points with 809.

In 2004, Tracy received the greatest athletic honour that the College bestows: the Niagara College Knights Co-Female Athlete of the Year Award.
Tracy Smith is a graduate of the Correctional Worker program and Business Administration Accounting program at Niagara College and is currently a member of the Niagara Regional Police Service.
