Diane VandenHoven-King

While at Niagara College, Diane VandenHoven-King developed into an outstanding team player. With her leadership and experience she helped develop the Niagara Knights women’s volleyball program into a perennial OCAA contender. A goal-oriented student-athlete, Diane’s determination allowed her to improve her overall game and leadership skills. Amongst her accomplishments, she led her team in every offensive category and finished third in the OCAA Western Region scoring race in her final season. Diane also accumulated a total of 337 points in her four years with the Knights, and was twice an OCAA All-Star (1999-2000 and 2000-2001). Additionally, she was presented with the Niagara Knights Athlete of Distinction award in 1999, and was a recipient of the Niagara College Knights Award of Excellence. Diane was bestowed with Niagara College’s Female Athlete of the Year Award in 1999–2000 and in 2000-2001. Diane VandenHoven-King graduated from the Social Service Worker program in 2000 and the Event Management program in 2001.
