February 14, 2019 ... PETERBOROUGH - The Niagara College Knights curling team completed day one of the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) provincials in the mixed doubles category with a 3-0 and 2-1 record.
Team one, made up of McKenna McGovern and Benjamin Jones, went 3-0 in their three draws yesterday, defeating Niagara -2, Chloe Johnstone and Adam Rolson,11-2, Sault College-2, 9-2, and Humber-2, 10-2.
McGovern and Jones will look to continue their undefeated streak into day two with a draw against Sault-2 at 8:30 A.M., Fanshawe-1 at 2:15 P.M.
Niagara Team Two of Johnstone and Rolson went 2-1 on day one, with their only loss coming to their Knights counterparts in the first draw of the day. Johnstone and Rolson went on to defeat Sault College-2, 10-2 and Fanshawe-2, 6-4.
Rolson and Johnstone will begin day two against Sault-1 at 8:30 A.M., followed by Humber-1 at 2:15 P.M.
