The Niagara College Men's Golf Team came away victorious at the Niagara College Annual Invitational Tournament that took place on Wednesday at LochNess Links Golf Course in Welland. The foursome of Chad Currie, Chris Hargest, Cody Connor, and Ryan Curran combined for a winning score of 292 – two strokes better than the defending 2010 CCAA Champions, the Humber Hawks.
Chad Currie, who finished in fourth place at the 2010 CCAA Championships, and Chris Hargest, the 2009 CCAA Champion, along with first-year Cody Connor each fired rounds of even par 72, while defending OCAA Bronze Medalist Ryan Curran shot a round of 76 (+4).
The Knights will be back in action next week when they travel to Cornwall to participate in the 2011 OCAA Golf Championships taking place from Monday, October 3 – Wednesday, October 5 at the Cornwall Golf and Country Club.
