NOVEMBER 11, 2022 … WELLAND, ON – The Niagara College women's volleyball program played the Sheridan College women's volleyball program during ReuKnighted, after a two-year pause due to Covid-19. The Knights swept the Sheridan College Bruins 3-0 with set scores of 25-20, 25-16, 25-21.

Upon asking the Women's Volleyball Coach Tommy Sloan how he thought the team played, his response was "I think we're getting better every week, there were some moments where we controlled the pace of play. Still making a couple more errors than we wanted to. But we're seeing the signs we want to see that are showing where we are going to be eventually."

Throughout the match, second-year middle Abbey Gooder was an outstanding on the court with eight kills within the match. Gooder had total of sixteen attempts with three sets played, eight kills, and two errors.

"We're still struggling to find that a little bit I think. We end up losing the first point almost every set but it is what it is. Something we want to take pride in, we think we're a good serving team and good serving teams have the ability to build leads quickly and early in the game," stated  head coach Tommy Sloan when asked how important it is for the team to getting on top of the game early.

The Niagara College Women's Volleyball team is now two-and-two with wins against Fanshawe College and Sheridan College. The Niagara College Knights will next take on the Mohawk Mountaineers (4-0)on November 16, 2022 at 6:00 PM EST at Mohawk College.
