NEWS: Frigole sets Knights single season scoring record

Oti Frigole (St. Catharines) is the new record holder for single-season goals, notching his ninth goal of the season in Niagara's 4-0 victory over the Redeemer Royals on Tuesday night. Entering the contest with 6 goals on the season, Frigole notched the first hat trick of his young OCAA career on route to claiming the record.

Frigole, who was the Knights top recruit coming into this season, has put up an incredible rookie campaign. His mark breaks the previous single-season goal record set by Matt Miedema back in 2009.

With 9 goals already under his belt in year one of his OCAA career, Frigole could be well on his way to breaking the Knights record for career goals scored. That record is currently held by former Knight Carlos Williams who scored 15 goals over three seasons.
