The Niagara College Knights Men's Basketball team lost 80-50 to the three-time defending OCAA Champions, the Humber Hawks on Friday night.
The Knights had their five game winning streak come to an end as they shot a dismal 13% from behind the arc, and 20% from the field in their loss to the three-time defending OCAA Champions.
"Humber is a very strong team, and they simply outplayed and outworked us," said head coach Steve Atkin. "Hopefully, we can learn from this experience as we head into the second half of the season."
The loss drops the Knights record to 7-2. They are now tied with Humber and Fanshawe for first-place in the OCAA West Region.
The Knights will resume league play on January 21 and January 22, 2012 after the exam and Christmas break.
They will travel to Sault Ste. Marie for a weekend series, taking on the Sault College Cougars and the Algoma University Thunderbirds.
