February 19, 2023...WELLAND, ONT -  The Niagara College men's basketball Team had their winning streak end at four games after a tough blowout loss to the St. Clair Saints 96-59 on Sunday afternoon at the Welland Campus Athletic Centre.

After a narrow four-point loss to the first place Saints early in the season, the Knights were looking to keep their winning streak alive and split the season series against the Saints. Niagara and St. Clair started off the game with a tight low scoring first quarter 19-15, with the Saints holding a four-point advantage going into the second quarter. From there the Saints started putting their shooting together and extended their lead to 43-31 going into the halftime break.

St. Clair began to run away with the lead in the third quarter scoring 33 points, the Knights just couldn't get keep up with the 1st place Saints, and eventually lost 96-59.

The Knights were lead in scoring by Kennan Larmand with 13 points, followed by a strong performance from Reggie Williams  with 8 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 assists.

With Sunday's loss the Knights finish the season with a 11-7 record, and will host Loyalist (10-8), in a cross-over playoff matchup Saturday February 25th at 2:00pm. The Knights will be looking to seal their spot in the OCAA Championship March 3-5 at St. Clair College.
