Knights Men’s Basketball remain unbeaten in 2024

The Niagara College Knights (8-4) went on the road to visit the Redeemer Royals (2-11) Wednesday evening at the Redeemer Athletic Centre in Ancaster. The Knights were able to come out on top winning 85-65, maintaining their 5 game win streak and remaining undefeated in 2024.

The men started the game strong shooting beyond 50% from the field as well as getting to the free throw line shooting 71%. They were able to take the lead 26-15 heading into the second quarter. In the second quarter Raheem Dennis had a big offensive impact, shooting 5-6 from the field and 2-2 from behind the arc and scoring 13 points in the quarter helping the knights lead 46-30 going into the second half.

The Royals would not go down without a fight, bringing it to a 10-point game; however, the Knights kept their foot on the gas pushing it to a 17-point lead to end the third quarter. The Knights started the 4th quarter with high energy and ending up scoring 19 points in the quarter, walking away with an 85-65 victory. The Knights were led by Raheem Dennis with an efficient 18 points shooting 78% from the field and 75% from the three as well as Riley Bleich with 12 points who combined for 30 points off the bench.

The Knights are sitting in third place in the West Division with an 8-4 record, tied with the Humber Hawks who the Knights host at home in a key matchup this Saturday. The Knights will host the Hawks at the Simplii Financial Athletic Center with tipoff scheduled for 3:00pm.
