Curling

A Welland resident, Scott was named the Head Coach for Niagara College Curling Program in 2007. He has taken teams to the OCAA Provincials where they have won 3 Silver and 1 Bronze Medals over the last 5 years.

Scott has coached Bantam and Junior teams at OCA Zones and Regionals over the last 12 years. He also coaches Special Olympic curlers and his team has won Provincial Silver and Bronze Medals and in 2004 they won the Gold Medal at the Nationals. For his work with Special Olympic Curling he was named Coach of the year in 2003 and 2004 from the Welland Sports Promotion Council.

Scott is an avid Curler and is a Skip in the Open Championship League at the Welland Curling Club, as well as the Men’s Rated League. He has curled for over 25 years and has been a Certified Coach for the past 15 years.
