As a doubles badminton team Cindy Emery and Christine Audit-Smith were two of the best female players in the country. Emery & Audit-Smith finished a dream 1995-1996 season with gold medals at both the CCAA National and OCAA Provincial Championships. The season saw them finished with a record of 15-1 and just six total set losses. They went undefeated at the National Championship, including an easy two set sweep in the gold medal match to capture the first ever women's doubles CCAA gold medal in Niagara Knights history. Cindey Emery received the Knights Athlete of Distinction Award (1995-96) and is a two-time Niagara Knights Female Athlete of the Year Award recipient (1994-95 & 1995-96). Christine Audit-Smith was named the Niagara Knights Female Athlete of the Year (1995-96) and is a graduate of both the General Arts and Science and Dental Office Administration programs.
