Saturday, October 3rd saw the Niagara College Knights cross country team compete in the St. Lawrence Invitational. This was the second race of the 2015 OCAA season for the Knights and the men's team was looking to improve after their tenth place finish in the Fanshawe Invitational back in September.
The men's team was led by multi-sport athlete Andy Hein (Omemee) as he finished the 8km race in 22nd place. Collectively, the men's team finished in ninth place with 162 points and trail UTM in the standings by 16 points.
On the women's side, the Knights were led by Olayinka Aloko, who finished the 5km race in 58th place. Competing in her second race for the Knights, Aloko slashed over one minute off her time from the Fanshawe Invitational.
